Celler Can Ramis

Celler Can Ramis

The current Celler Can Ramis was founded, in 1870, by the couple Pedro Molina Amengual and Francisca Amengual Ramis. He was the brother of Don Juan Molina, rector of the Parish of Sant Pere de Sencelles and spiritual director of Beata Sor Francinaina Cirer.

The tradition was continued by Catalina Vallori Florit and her son-in-law Antonio Cirer, known by the nickname “Toni Ramis”, grandfather of the current owner. Catalina Vallori was an entrepreneur of the time, evolving from working at home to being the owner. The daughter of “Toni Ramis”, Francisca Cirer and her son-in-law Matias Llabrés, modernized the facilities of the winery. His son Pere Antoni Llabrés Cirer currently runs the winery, being the fourth generation dedicated to winemaking.

The winery preserves the original cistern of the house, which was converted into a wine cellar by the current owners. Can Ramis also preserves the traditional wooden barrels “botes congrenyades”, where the wine used to be kept.

Currently, quality wines are produced with the varieties Manto Negro, Syrah, Merlot and Prensal Blanc or Moll, under the name of Serral.
