Celler Sebastià Pastor

Celler Sebastià Pastor

Celler Sebastià Pastor is a family owned winery, located in Santa Maria del Camí, which cultivates its own vineyards and produces its wines since 1937.

In 1937, Sebastià Pastor i Mayol, farmer and son of a farmer and lover of the vineyard, began to make wine from the grapes of his own vineyards. The beginnings were difficult, but thanks to the desire and determination, his wines did not go unnoticed. His dedication and love for the countryside has been transmitted from generation to generation, reaching into the fourth generation.

Celler Sebastià Pastor has always had in mind the policy of continuous improvement. Initially, the wine was made in concrete tanks and, as new materials (fiberglass, stainless steel …) emerged for the construction of tanks, which allowed to increase the quality of the wines, they did not hesitate to incorporate them. The traditional way of winemaking has been combined with the new technologies: temperature control during the making process, controlled fermentation…

One thing was always clear to us, we wanted to focus on something that makes us different, what makes us unique; on the native varieties Mantonegro, Callet and Prensal Blanc or Moll.

The Celler consists of a small 18th century Majorcan “celler”, which has been modernized, where they now sell wine, and a cellar, where quality wines are made and aged.

The vineyards are located on the outskirts of the village, more specifically in the areas of Pla de Buc and Torrent Fals, an unbeatable location for this type of agriculture.

The Celler Sebastià Pastor relies on the native varieties Mantonegro and Prensal Blanc, and creates wines that convey the essence of Majorca.
